New York is looking back on a history of skyscrapers. In the Year 2014 it “One57” was received in midtown as the first supertall residential building. In the next year the skyscraper 432 Park Avenue surpassed One57´s mark.

 

At the moment, at least 10 supertall projects have been planned along Central Park’s. Earning it the nice nickname “Billionaire’s Row.

Formed from a thin curving structure at the top, the oiio architecture studio would create the longest building. Which is at 4,000 feet end to end, in the world.

The studio said: “The story of The Big Bend follows a recent trend that has appeared in New York City: the emergence of myriad tall and slender residential skyscrapers”.

Billionaire’s Row

The rendering show “The Big Bend” among other skyscrapers which are either proposed or under construction. It is Located at West 57rd Street: That is just south of the famous Central Park, in the middle of New York’s Manhattan. This has become known as Billionaire’s Row.

The Oiio’s new and innovative design features a grid of large windows. Giving the apartments a light and airy feel.

“If we manage to bend our structure instead of bending the zoning rules of New York, we would be able to create one of the most prestigious buildings in Manhattan,” the studio said.
